As stated by @hash4u is that for a bike to be legally owned and operated on public roads, it must be accompanied by the proper documents. Additionally, documentation is required to have the engine number changed on them when installing a new engine or swapping out an existing one.
You can ride your bike on the road and pass police checkpoints with ease once the new engine number is updated with your bike record in the appropriate city excise department.
