Guys, I need your help! A few days ago, I accidentally ran over a gutter and the underside of my Yaris hit hard against it. The gutter was quite big and steep, but it all happened in the blink of an eye as its one side was a ramp for the car, so it had no trouble getting on it, and consequently I could not realise the impact until it came down, hitting hard. After that accident, everything still seems perfect, I mean no suspension sway or steering tilt, unusual sound and etc. However, the steering wheel has become very hard and heavy. I took the car to Toyota 3S for inspection. The inspector there found a little piece of the underside scratched badly and nothing else. Only the left underside was hit, so logically nothing should have happened to the steering system. But one thing worth mentioning, the car did take quite a big jump and impact. What could be the reason for the hard and heavy steering? My Yaris' drive doesn't feel pleasurable anymore and the effort to steer it frustrates me. Need your suggestions and guidance. Thanks, mates.
